Young students, especially, worship the goddess seeking her blessings for knowledge and wisdom. In homes and schools, people install clay or metallic images of the goddess and decorate them with flowers and bright colors. In some parts of India, it is customary to decorate the books and musical instruments with flowers and offer them to the goddess, seeking her blessings for the coming year.
